Buying at Bala Beach Resort Panama


Bala Beach Resort Is located in maria Chiquita which is to the North of Panama in the district of Colon which is the Caribbean side of the Panama. This is the last location to be developed in Panama. The infrastructure is very basic and the roads to the area are poor. However the country has already started work on the new Panama - Colon Highway which will improve the drive time and the quality of the journey to Colon.

Colon is probably better know for its Free Trade Zone, Colon Free Trade Zone ("CFZ") is the largest free zone in the Americas and the second largest in the world. Created in 1948, the free zone houses 1,751 merchants, receives yearly more than 250,000 visitors from all parts of the World, mainly from countries such as Haiti, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Colombia, United States, Ecuador, and others. The CFZ generates exportation and re-exportation goods valued at more than US$6.5 billion in 2005.

To ensure the village are not impacted unduly the developer has already had a number of meetings with the heads of the village and is brining a number of essentials to the village including a Dentist, Doctor, Post Office, The homes and the village will be given a make over including painting all the homes in the village. A new road is being constructed at present which will allow the traffic to the site bypass the community therefore reduce the noise impact to the town.

The Beach hardly has a change of tide and is shallow water up to 50 - 60 yards out. making it ideal for Children. The feel of the Ocean Breeze cannot be shown by pictures but has to be experienced. The sand is going to be improved by bringing in Whiter sand from further round the bay.

Bala Beach will consists of 10 building there will be a condo Hotel and a Tower on the Beach. There will be a Spa, Gym, and entertainment area by the pool. being on the Caribbean water sports and fishing will play an import role for entertainment for the owners and there guests.

Building 1 & 2 has almost sold out with building 3 just released. The construction time for the first building will be around 18 months so delivery will be early 2010. All units will have Ocean Views, the heights to the rear of the development where the first building are located is much higher than shown on the VT. The first picture attached is taken from the location of Building 2.

One of the great thing about this property is the price point, for a Caribbean Beach Front property. If this was on the Pacific side of Panama the unit price would be based on nearly $3,500 per sq Meter. and the beach would be nothing like this. Why i Should Buy in Panama


Many people will have heard of Panama and heard of the boom in Panama, but how many people really understand why we are having a property and immigration boom down here in Panama, Read On Reason to purchase property in Panama.

giving a 25% increase in price per year.

Rental demand continue to increase.
Hotels have an 80% occupancy levels and room fees have nearly doubled in the past few years.

Not necessarily. The rules for becoming a "pensioner" and qualifying for this visa program in Panama are probably not what you'd expect.

In fact, anyone over the age of 18 may apply and can qualify as a pensionado in Panama. All you need is a guaranteed pension income of $500 per month ($600 for a couple). It must be a pension from a government agency (e.g. Social Security, disability, armed forces, etc.) or a defined-benefit pension from a private company. Sorry, but an immediate, fixed annuity doesn't qualify.

As a qualified pensioner in Panama, you would be entitled to:

  • 50% off entertainment anywhere in the country (movies, theaters, concerts, sporting events, etc.)
  • 30% off bus, boat, and train fares
  • 25% off airline tickets
  • 50% off hotel stays Monday through Thursday, 30% off Friday through Sunday
  • 25% off restaurant meals
  • 15% off at fast-food restaurants
  • 15% off hospital bills (if no insurance applies)
  • 10% off prescription medicines
  • 20% off doctors' consultations
  • 15% off dental and eye exams
  • 20% off professional and technical services
